A player recently suffered a critical, indicating that his arm is shattered. The healer in the group failed to fix the bone, thus there seem to be only to options to help the character. Either he needs some potent magic, which is (naturally) not available, neither mastered by any PCs nor by any known NPCs. Or the arm has to be amputated, as the SoHK states. What options are there to fix up the arm? Which magic is needed to prevent gangrene? And which magic can heal the shattered limb? Thanks a lot for your help. :o) |

That depends a lot on how evil you are as a GM (really it depends on the "flavor" of your game.) Possible ways to still fix the arm... There are some herbs listed that would do the job. A wandering band of gypsies could stumble across the band and either have a healer or have the herbs needed (there would, of course, be a price). Or, if your player is up to the challenge, have him/her lose the arm. They can either play the character that way or go on a quest for a regeneration spell to replace the arm. |
