1 This spell can only be cast on an object which was previously
Marked (see Mark I and Mark II).
2 Permanent Until Discharged.
3 Permanent Until Reversed.

P 1—MARK I (UF): Makes inanimate objects Marked Items for use with the other spells on this list. The caster may so mark a number of objects up to his level with a single application of this spell. This spell may also be used to automatically remove the caster’s own Marks I, or to attempt to forcibly remove another caster’s Marks I (treat as a Base Spell Attack).

2—MARK II (UF): This spell has two separate but similar applications, both designed for use with the other spells on this list. The first makes willing creatures Marked Recipients; the caster may so mark up to lvl/4 (rounding up) volunteers with a single application of this spell. The second makes one large, generally stationary object (wall, floor, tree, table, bed, bathtub, etc.) a Marked Place. This spell may also be used to automatically remove the caster’s own Marks II, or to attempt to forcibly remove another caster’s Marks II (treat as a Base Spell Attack). 3—CONDITION ALARM (U): A Marked Object (I or II) so treated will signal the caster (or a different Marked Recipient) whenever it becomes damaged (wounded) or dirty. The Condition Alarm is permanent until triggered, then must be cast again. 4—LOCATE ITEM (UD): The location of a Marked Object (I or II) is determined precisely for as long as the caster concentrates, if it is within range. If the caster so desires, the same information is made available to any of his Marked Recipients also within range. 5—THEFT ALARM (U): A Marked Item (I) so treated will signal the caster (or a Marked Recipient) whenever it is moved but is not in contact with the caster (or a Marked Recipient). The Theft Alarm is permanent until triggered, then must be cast again. 6—RETRIEVE ITEM (U): A Marked Item (I) within range is retrieved from its current location into the caster’s hand, subject to the restrictions of the Leaving spell. If the caster so desires, the Marked Item will be Retrieved to one of his Marked Recipients within range instead. 7—PLACE ITEM (U): A Marked Item (I) on the caster’s person or that of a Marked Recipient within range is sent from its current location to a Mark II specified by the caster, subject to the restrictions of the Leaving spell (see Retrieve Item). 8—SNAP RETRIEVE ITEM (U*): Allows the caster to call any Marked Item (I) within range into his hand (or that of a Marked Recipient) with the minimum action penalty (0 in RM2, –10 in RMSS or RMFRP), subject to the restrictions of the Leaving spell (see Retrieve Item). 9—FREE ITEM (UF): As Retrieve Item, except it attempts to free the Marked Item (I) from any covering or entanglement before bringing it into the caster’s (or Marked Recipient’s) hand. If the Marked Item is held by a creature or magical effect, this spell is treated as a Base Spell Attack. 10—SNAP SWITCH ITEMS (U*): Allows the caster to switch two Marked Items (I), one currently in his hand and the other somewhere else within range, with the minimum action penalty (0 in RM2, –10 in RMSS or RMFRP), subject to the restrictions of the Leaving spell (see Retrieve Item). 11—LEND ITEM (U): As Place Item, except this spell automatically brings the Placed Item back to the hand of the caster (or a Marked Recipient) after a set time. 12—UNSTORE ITEM (U): Used with Store Item, level 13; allows the caster to make Stored Marked Items (I), one item per four levels, "reappear" from nothingness. Note: Range is considered "self" because Stored items are attached to the caster’s aura. 13—STORE ITEM (U): Used with Unstore Item, level 12; allows the caster to make Marked Items (I), one item per four levels, "disappear" into nothingness. In actuality they are transported into a "pocket dimension" attached to the caster’s aura. The "pocket" should be considered a part of the Ethereal Plane if such is consistent with the GM’s cosmology. Caution: Attempting to Store items that already have auras of their own (chiefly naturally or alchemically enchanted items) might cause fundamental instabilities in the local dimensional fabric. 14—RETRIEVE ITEM TRUE (U): As Retrieve Item, except the Marked Item (I) is retrieved via Long Doorspell. 15—MARK AWARENESS (UD): Allows the caster to so closely attune himself to a Marked Object (I or II) that he can thereafter, until a new Marked Object is chosen, precisely determine its location (as per Locate Item) and condition (as per Condition Alarm) by simple concentration, if it is within range, without further power-point expenditure. If the caster so desires, the same information is made available to any of his Marked Recipients also within range. 16—UNZIP ITEM (U): Used with Zip Item, level 17; allows the caster to restore Zipped Marked Items (one item per four levels) to their usual size. 17—ZIP ITEM (U): Used with Unzip Item, level 16; allows the caster to shrink Marked Items (one item per four levels) to 1% of their normal size and mass. The 99% of mass removed is converted into a small Essence aura attached to the Zipped object. Caution: While attempting to Zip items that already have auras of their own (chiefly naturally or alchemically enchanted items) should be safer than attempting to Store them, problems might still arise. 18—SNAP RETRIEVE ITEM TRUE (U*): As Snap Retrieve Item except the range is increased and transport is via Long Door. 19—PLACE/LEND ITEM TRUE (U): As Place Item and Lend Item, except the range is increased, transport is via Long Door, and the return time may be made infinite. 20—MARK SCRY (UD): Allows the caster to so closely attune himself to a Marked Object (I or II) within range that his senses function as though originating from the Marked Object’s location, as long as he concentrates on maintaining the link. If the caster so desires, the same information is made available to any of his Marked Recipients also within range. 25—MARK AWARENESS TRUE (UD): As Mark Awareness, except there is no range limit. 30—MARK CHANNEL (UF): As Mark Scry, except it also allows the caster to cast spells through the link. 50—MANIPULATIONS MASTER (UF): Allows the caster to use one of the lower-level spells on this list each round without power-point expenditure.
