  Spell Mastery: Additional Modifications
Reduce casting time of a non-instantaneous spell. Modify Critical Rolls [Intensification] These permit the caster to modify any critical roll by up to the amount chosen. In case of spell fumble, add the greatest amount of adjustment possible to the Spell Fumble critical roll.

Speeded casting (less than 75% of round for spells requiring 75% action) under haste/speed spells or anything that increases actions. Increase Critical Severity These permit the caster to increase the level of severity of a critical. Any criticals above E's are treated as E's. If no critical is done, no critical is done. Note that this also increase criticals on the Spell Fumble tables as well.

Speeded casting (less than 50% of round for spells requiring 50% action) under haste/speed spells or anything that increases actions. Modify Resistance Rolls These reduce the target's resistance roll against the cast spell. In case of Spell Fumble, add half the magnitude of the adjustment to the Spell Fumble critical roll.

Anticipatory Subconscious Preparation S P H [20] This talent reflects that the individual's subconscious begins preparing spells prior to the formal preparation and casting. The individual is considered to have an extra round of preparation for every spell he casts.

Creative Spell Manipulator S P H [15] This talent reflects that the individual innately can combine multiple modifications better than the typical caster. This talent gives a special +10 per spell modification beyond one to the Spell Mastery roll. For example, if a caster was extending the duration and the targets, they would get a +10 to add to the roll. If the caster is also reducing the casting time, the total bonus would become +20.

Elemental Affinity S P H [30] This talent reflects that the individual has an affinity towards one of the elements, Air, Earth, Fire, or Water and a deficiency towards the opposite element (Air <-> Earth, Fire <-> Water). The individual receives a +20 to the spell lists related to his element, a +20 to all Directed Spells of the element, and a +20 to Power Manipulation skills related to his element, and a 20 penalty to his opposite element on the same items. In addition, the spells lists, Directed Spells skills, and the Power Manipulation skills related to his element are classified as everyman skills. The individual's resistance rolls versus his opposite element are at 20. The Spell Fumble chances are decreased by 1 for his element (to a minimum of 1) and increased by 2 for the opposite. One elemental affinity maximum per individual.

Extremely Agile Spell Casting Style S P H [30] This talent reflects that the individual was trained in special defensive maneuvers while and between casting of spells. The individual can learn Adrenal Defense at a DP cost of 4 and use a 20% action maneuver to use it.

Forceful Magic S P H [10/25] This talent reflects that the individual naturally puts a lot of strength behind his spells. This talent gives a special 10 to resistance rolls versus this caster's spells for the 10 point version and -20 for the 25 point version..

Gifted Spell User S H [30] This talent reflects that magic comes easy for the individual. The individual can learn spells and Power Point Development as if a pure spell-user in his realm(s).

Instinctive Abort Reflex S P H [10] This talent reflects that the individual can sense when his spell will fumble and attempt to abort the spell prior to casting. The individual has a 90% chance of successfully aborting the spell and directing the energies harmless away thus nullify the Spell Fumble.

Instinctive Spell Manipulator S P H [17] - This talent reflects that the individual instinctively knows how to adapt their spells to accomplish non-standard results. This talent gives a special bonus of +25 to the Spell Mastery skills.

Item Type Affinity [7] This talent reflects that the individual has spent a lot of time studying a particular type of magic item. The individual gets a +20 to attunement for the item type, +20 to artifact lore for the item type, +20 to power perception of the item type, and a +20 when identify what such an item of this type does. Item types include Rings, Wands, Staves, Rods, Leather Armor, Bows, Hats, Belts, etc.

Magical Nature [25/40/50] The talent reflects that the individual's body innately produces Power Points as long as the character consumes a normal amount of food and drink. The 25 point talent grants 1 PP/day/rank in Power Point Development (min 5/day), the 40 point grants 2 PP/day/rank (min 10/day), and the 50 point grants 3 PP/day/rank (min 15/day). These PP's are in addition to the background PP's that the individual can absorb.

Natural Channel [15] This talent reflects that the individual's body adapts innately to energies channeled through it. This talent gives a special bonus of +25 to Channeling, reduces burnout chances by 80%, and makes it a non-restricted skill.

Natural Spell List [7] This talent reflects that the way the person thinks naturally suits a particular spell list. This talent reduces the development cost by 1/3rd [with a maximum of 8/8] on a specific list, gives a special bonus of +20 to that list, and gives a special bonus of +20 to the Spell Mastery skill corresponding to that list. This talent can be taken multiple times to apply to different lists.

Precise Caster S P H [17] This talent reflects that the individual is very precise with his spells. This talent grants a +15 to the Directed Spell Category, reduces Spell Fumble chances by 1 (to a minimum of 1), and grants a +10 to Spell Casting Static Maneuver rolls.

Rapid Diversified Spell Learner P H [25] This talent reflects that the individual can picks up diverse lists faster than a typical spell-users. This talent allows a user to learn nine lists without a penalty (and then nine for each increase in the penalty) for a large number of lists and with every three lists learned in a level, the least expensive list (in terms of DP's) is free.

Time-Sensitive Caster S P H [20] This talent reflects that the individual innately adapts to changes in the flow of time due to haste/speed and other similar effects. This talent halves the penalty on the Spell Mastery skills for speeded casting.

New Flaws

Book Caster S P H [-17] This flaw reflects that the individual has trained to cast spells directly from a book giving instructions. Whenever the individual tries to cast a spell without a spell book explaining the spell, he must make a Spell Casting Static Maneuver with an additional penalty of 50.

Clumsy Spell Manipulator S P H [-10] The flaw reflects that the individual has innate difficulties modifying spells. This talent gives a special 20 penalty to the Spell Mastery skills.

Easily Distracted S P H [-20] This flaw reflects that the individual is easily distracted. Whenever the individual takes damage or stun, he always loses any spell being prepared or in progress of being cast and whenever the individual is adversely affected by a spell, he has a 50% chance of losing any spell being prepared or in progress of being cast.

Narrow Focused Spell Learner P H [-10] This flaw reflects that the individual has difficulty spread his attention among many things. The caster can only learn 3 spell lists per level with out penalty, then three for each increase in the penalty.

Overly Cautious Caster S P H [-10] This flaw reflects that the individual strongly believes in carefully planning and executing his spells. The caster must use at least 3 rounds of preparation whenever the spell casting static maneuver penalty from rounds of preparation is negative for the level of the spell being cast.

Single-Minding Casting S P H [-13] This flaw reflects that the individual focuses most of his awareness and energy into casting spells. The individual takes only half penalties from things that may disrupt his spells but suffers a 20 to his DB versus melee weapons, missile weapons, and directed spells and a 20 to all Alertness rolls.

Slow Caster S P H [-15] This flaw reflects that the individual has to take extra time to cast spells. The individual must use an extra +25% action to cast non-instantaneous spells, an extra +10% action to cast instantaneous spells and may not try to reduce the amount of action they can spend casting the spells.
