This is an amoosing game of racing cows. All you need to download in order to play is the rule sheet (a single side) and the board; you cut the 4 cow counters out, grab a die and some scrap paper and you can play [cuddly cow not included!].

The idea of the game is to bet on the cows and try to get either your cow or the cow(s) you bet on to win. The game is very simple, you roll the die and if the result is 1-4 that cow moves on one space, if it's a 5 you choose, if it's a 6 either you choose to move a cow or milk a cow (which slows it down for a turn).

Nothing to taxing on the grey matter but it's a good fun filler game, and ideal for those players with non-gamers; for even more appeal hunt down some plastic model cows (raid your kid brother's farm set or something).

DaVinci have some other free games on their site, so even if racing cows is too silly for your tastes you might find something else that takes your fancy.

The counters and track look nice if you've got access to a colour printer but even a standard printer is fine (although you might want to colour the counters by hand).

The only quibble I have with the game is the name, for me 'MooMarket' would have been better than Ascowt.

Oh, and did I mention it was free?
