Welcome

To the sixty-fourth issue of The Guild Companion.

TGC Modules

In last month's editorial, I indicated that my escape from the restraints of the College of Magic's deadlines meant that I expected to be able to reinvigorate TGC's programme of modules. I have indeed been knocking on the email inboxes of our various authors and others to determine their progress.

Robert Defendi is making excellent headway with the Shadow World Master Atlas d20 Edition. Sixteen chapters have already been submitted by Robert - he's currently busy on mapping Shadow World's demonic denizens into d20 statistics. I've fully edited thirteen of those chapters and am steadily working through the system checking of the remaining three. Checking the numbers of d20 stat blocks is not a task for the faint-hearted!

John Rodriguez is making slow but steady progress on a project codenamed Nightfall . This is intended as a detailed fantasy setting for use with both Rolemaster and d20. We're not expecting it to be complete until 2005, however.

Andrew Ferguson is currently writing a Rolemaster-only adventure module codenamed Toyman which will make extensive use of the material in Construct Companion. Andrew's players are play-testing the scenario as it is written!

We're still somewhat stymied with regard to the PDF reprints of Essence Companion and Castles & Ruins. In our latest attempt to create a PDF from ICE's archives, the minor pieces of artwork failed to survive the conversion process. Getting closer, but still not quite there yet, unfortunately. We're still determined to make it work.

2003 Origins Awards Nominations

Congratulations to ICE on their nomination in the Best New Roleplaying Game category for High Adventure Role Playing. We wish them the best of luck in the final Academy-only voting round and in the public voting of the People's Choice set of the awards.

Farewell (for now ...)

Robert has just sent in another chapter of the SWMA d20 Edition, so I'd better get back to editing! Our next issue will be published in July 2004, but until then ...

Keep gaming and have fun,
