Description: Spell changes 1 pound of metal into glass. The affected material takes on all properties of glass, including its brittle nature. If the item is greater than 1 lb, 1 lb of material closest to the caster is affected. The item retains its shape, but has a translucent, shiny appearance. Any strong blow struck with or against the item causes a RR to determine if the item breaks. Magical items receive 4 times their bonus to resist the spell.

Description: This spell is cast on a weapon. For the duration of the spell, each critical strike that causes hits /round delivers an additional 1 hit/round of bleeding damage. This additional damage may only be healed through non-natural means, such as herbs or magic. The wound will not heal on its own and use of first aid will not provide relief.

Improve Armor

Description: This spell causes the armor of the target to protect as the next better step of full armor. The target receives the DB bonus and protective qualities of the better armor, but only suffers the QU penalty of the armor worn. The target must be wearing armor for this spell to function. If wearing armor by piece, the current level of armor should be the closest full set of armor possible. If cast on plate armor the spell offers no further improvement in defensive bonus or protection. The spell does not grant additional magical DB beyond that of the armor bonus.

Powderburst

Description: Caster sends forth a small 4" sphere up to the spell range, at which point it explodes into a burst of white powder. The powder covers everything. Unless actively shielding the eyes and mouth, the powder gets into those spaces making target's suffer a -25 penalty for sight related and vocal actions until powder is cleared. Invisible objects are clearly outlined as well.

Description: The spell causes 1 pound of iron-based material to permanently rust. If the item is greater than 1 lb, 1 lb of material closest to the caster is affected. This causes weapons to dull, armor to loosen and lose effectiveness, metal items in general to weaken. Items suffer a -10 to actions. Magical items receive 4 times their bonus to resist the spell.

Description: Caster causes a stream of water to shoot forth from his outstretched arm and finger. The stream of water is a constant 2" diameter to the maximum range expanding to 5' diameter when striking a surface and lasting as long as the caster concentrates. The stream is sufficient to knock over a medium sized or smaller creature if caught unaware, though if aware it is an easy maneuver to avoid. The stream offers sufficient volume to use against minor fires.

Description: Use of this spell permanently erases any non-magical text written or painted on any surface (paper, parchment, stone, etc.). Text is removed at the rate of 1 page per round of concentration.

Remove carved text (commonly in wood or stone) +3 PP
Remove etched or inscribed text (commonly found on metal items) +4 PP
Remove relief text (raised text in wood, stone or other surface) +5 PP
Remove Magical Text ** +6 PP

** Magical text receives a CRR to resist the spell. Magical text gets 5 times the PP of the spell in the text as a RR bonus.
