The Reliquary of Gea: an Artifact for Rolemaster

The reliquary of Gea is a small lantern made of gilded meteoric iron and with panes of cloudy rock crystal. In its centre, where the flame should be, is the sole remaining relic of Gea Hadrovassour, a mighty paladin who dedicated himself to destroying the undead. This is a mummified and blackened finger.

Associated with the reliquary is a breviary, a battered and handwritten book that contains the sole copy of litanies composed by Gea in his career as a paladin. The third, "The Litany of Revenge" is the relevant one: when chanted aloud, and with the reliquary held aloft, there is a surge of power that is felt by the holder and all allies within fifty feet. Further, all their strikes against undead become "of slaying."

To continue the chant, the wielder must concentrate, and must impart some of his strength (one power point per round) until either the chant is stopped or he becomes exhausted (i.e., runs out of power points). Further, the wielder must be a cleric, priest or paladin of the same faith as Gea.
