The Obsidian Lamp

This item appears as a small lamp carved out of a solid piece of black obsidian. When lit, it lights up a spherical volume up to forty feet in diameter. When it does so, however, it causes all shadows within a hundred feet to deepen, giving a special bonus of +25 to hiding maneuvers and +10 to stalking maneuvers.

The Lamp of Summoning

This lamp is made of red brass that has been ornately embossed to represent whispling fire elementals amid fluid designs of stylized flames. When lit, the wielder must concentrate for two rounds for it to summon a fire whispling (Requires a successful Attunement roll). If this happens, the summoned whispling will follow the commands of the wielder, provided that the wielder is not killed, the elemental is not required to move more than twenty feet from the lamp, or the elemental is killed. A maximum of one fire whispling may be summoned at any time, and no more than one summoning attempt is permitted per day.

The Lamp of the Dancing Salamander

When lit, this lamp can create the visual illusion of an inch-long, fiery red elemental salamander dancing and twisting an inch or so above the flame for as long as the holder concentrates. The illusion can be dispelled as per ordinary illusions, and once dispelled it will not return until the lamp is relit. When the wielder does not concentrate, the image of the salamander appears as if it is curled up and sleeping. The lamp is made out of chased silver, with the stylized image of an s-shaped salamander on both of its lengthened sides.

Lamp of Protection

This clay lamp must be lit for its effect to come into being. Each time an essence spell is cast at the wielder, the spell must make a RR vs. a level 1 spell, or it will be dispelled. If the incoming spell succeeds, it acts as per normal, and cracks appear in the lamp. These cracks deepen, and become wider each time this happens until, when the fourth spell succeeds, the lamp is extinguished and crumbles into a useless pile of dust and fragments. That is, it is destroyed and no longer enchanted.
