Six New Magic Items for RMSS/RMFRP

These six crystal spheres are unique, though hardly artifacts in terms of power. They are either held by elementalists or magicians, or lie abandoned and hidden in a forgotten cache of treasure; only the gods know of their ultimate disposition.

In essence, all are alike. They are all +4 Spell Adders for spells of the appropriate elements and elemental spell lists. They all give a +20 bonus to Rrs against the same element, and bonuses to a couple of relevant skills. They also allow a certain spell to be cast up to five times in a single day.

The Sphere of Air

Spells: Work Stone; General IV*2; General II*2; Daily X; Airwall.
Base cost: 29,736 gp

This crystal sphere is a slightly clouded color, being largely transparent, though with a tint that changes between Grey, white, and a transparent sky blue. When held, the wielder tends to feel flighty, moody, or erratic. Five times a day, the wielder may cast Airwall. The wielder also gains a bonus of +20 RR to all air-based spells, and bonuses of +10 to Flying and +10 to Acrobatics.

The Sphere of Earth

Spells: Work Stone; General IV*2; General II*2; Daily X; Loosen Earth.
Base cost: 29,736 gp

This crystal sphere is made of black crystal, fading towards transparency around the edges. When held, the wielder tends to feel patient, calm, even stubborn, or disciplined. Five times a day, the wielder may cast Loosen Earth. The wielder also gains a bonus of +20 RR to all earth-based spells, and bonuses of +10 to Evaluate Stone) and +10 to Stone Crafts.

The Sphere of Fire

Spells: Work Stone; General IV*2; General II*2; Daily X; Warm Solid.
Base cost: 29,736 gp

This crystal sphere is made of a transparent crystal, becoming translucent orange with a red core towards the center. When held, the wielder tends to feel angry or furious. Five times a day, the wielder may cast Warm Solid. The wielder also gains a bonus of +20 RR to all fire-based spells, and bonuses of +10 to Firestarting and +10 to Frenzy.

The Sphere of Ice

Spells: Work Stone; General IV*2; General II*2; Daily X; Cool Solid.
Base cost: 29,736 gp

This crystal sphere is made of transparent crystal with white patches that appear almost like frost. When held, the wielder tends to feel emotionless or uncaring. Five times a day, the wielder may cast Cool Solid. The wielder also gains a bonus of +20 RR to all air-based spells, and bonuses of +10 to Flying and +10 to Acrobatics. The wielder also gains a bonus of +20 RR to all ice-based spells, and bonuses of +10 to Skiing and +10 to Survival (arctic).

The Sphere of Light

Spells: Work Stone; General IV*2; General II*2; Daily X; Shock Bolt I.
Base cost: 29,736 gp

This crystal sphere is made of pale yellow crystal. When held, the wielder tends to feel kind and gentle. Five times a day, the wielder may cast Shock Bolt I. The wielder also gains a bonus of +20 RR to all light-based spells, and bonuses of +10 to Gem Cutter and +10 to Star-gazing.

The Sphere of Water

Spells: Work Stone; General IV*2; General II*2; Daily X; Fog.
Base cost: 29,736 gp

This crystal sphere is made of transparent green crystal. When held, the wielder tends to feel capricious and chaotic. Five times a day, the wielder may cast Fog. The wielder also gains a bonus of +20 RR to all water-based spells, and bonuses of +10 to Sailing and +10 to Swimming.
