Spheres: Mentalist
Description: The caster learns what the most probable actions of the target will be in general terms for the duration of this spell. Thus the caster could learn whether the target will attack in the next round, but not who, or that the target will prepare or cast a spell, but not which spell or who is the intended target. By using the Specific Knowledge scaling option, the caster gains more detailed information, e.g. who is the target of a spell or an attack, which spell will be used, etc.

GM's Note: In game terms, at the start of each round when this spell is active, the player or GM controlling the target of this spell must declare the target's action before the player or GM controlling the caster need declare the caster's action. The target of this spell can change their mind but all penalties for changing actions must be applied.

  • Increase Duration (to 5 rounds/rank): +4 PP
  • Increase Duration (to 10 rounds/rank): +6 PP
  • Increase Range (per extra 50'): +1 P

Long Eye

PP Cost: 5

Duration: 5 rounds/rank
Spell Type: Utility

Spheres: Mentalist
Description: The caster can shift his point of vision to a location of his choice up to 100 feet away from his current position. He cannot shift his sight through intervening barriers (a closed door or wall is a barrier, a pit is not). If the distance that the caster wants to shift his vision to is further away than the distance allowed by the spell, then his sight will travel the maximum distance allowed by the spell in the proper direction. The point of sight is fixed but can be rotated. For the duration of the spell, the caster can only see from the new position.

  • Move Vision Point (per extra 5 mph/rank 15 per rnd): +2 PP
  • Increased Distance (100/rank): +4 PP
  • Increased Distance (1 mile/rank): +8 PP
  • Increased Distance (10 miles/rank): +16 PP
  • Increase Duration (10 rounds/rank): +4 PP
  • Increase Duration (1 minute/rank): +5 PP

Mind Tongue

PP Cost: 3
Range: Self
Duration: Concentration
Spell Type: Utility
RR: --
Spheres: Mentalist
Description: The caster can mentally speak to any one being within 100'. The caster must either be able to see the target, know his location, or have memorized the target using Study Target. The communication is two-way: the caster need merely think his thoughts, non-Mentalist targets must speak verbally (although the caster is actually reading the thoughts of their speaking).

Scaling Options

  • Increased Distance (100/rank): +4 PP
  • Increased Distance (1 mile/rank): +8 PP
  • Increased Distance (10 miles/rank): +16 PP
  • Increase Targets (per extra target in the communication): +4 PP
