Stunning Strike

The character has studied the weaknesses of the humanoid body and can deliver blows designed to stun an opponent. When using a crushing weapon or Martial Arts Strikes, the character can attack at -40 and on a successful hit, deliver an additional 2 rounds of stun to the critical results even if none are listed.

Naturally Attune

The character has an intuitive, innate understanding of the esoteric patterns and signatures of magical energy, which makes it easier for the character to recognize and utilize stored magic. This talent grants +10 to Attunement, Runes, and Arcane Lore: Spell Lore maneuver rolls.

Thieves’ Insight

The character’s expertise in Subterfuge and Influence has made them extra perceptive and wary and they are able to better resist being victims of such actions.

When making a Perception-related Resistance Roll (SD/In) against opposing Subterfuge skills, the character is allowed to replace their Insight (In) stat bonus with the number of ranks the character has in the same Subterfuge skill if it is greater than the Insight bonus. The character is still eligible for the +20 bonus to spot something specific and subject to the -20 penalty to perceive other things.

Example: Evelyn has a skill rank bonus of +60 in Perception, a Self-Discipline bonus of +10, and an Insight bonus of +10, making her normal RR bonus against Disguise +80. But she herself is a master of disguise with 20 skill ranks in Disguise. With Thieves’ Insight, she would get +60 for her Perception skill rank bonus, +10 for her Self Discipline stat bonus, and +20 for her Disguise expertise (instead of the +10 for her Insight bonus), for a total RR bonus of +90.

In addition, when making a Will-based Resistance Roll (SD/SD) against opposing Influence skills, when those skills are being used deceptively against the character, the character is allowed to replace one instance of their SD stat bonus with the number of skill ranks the character has in that particular Influence skill if it is greater than the SD bonus.

Example: Evelyn has a skill rank bonus of +40 in Resistance: Will and a Self-Discipline bonus of +10, making her normal RR bonus against Duping +60 (40+10+10). But she is a pretty good liar herself with 20 skill ranks in both Duping. With Thieves’ Insight, she would get +40 for her Resistance: Will skill rank bonus, +10 for her Self Discipline stat bonus, and +20 for her Duping expertise (instead of the second +10 SD bonus), for a total RR bonus of +70 (40+10+20). Evelyn also has 20 skill ranks in Charm and thus can resist Charm attempts at +70 (40+10+20) if the purpose of the Charm attempt is to achieve a deceptive end, like conning her out of her money.
